About Fantrade
Fantrade finds fantasy football trades in your Sleeper league that make both teams better.
You type your Sleeper username and pick a league. It reads the league and tries thousands of trades. It keeps the ones that help both starting lineups and look fair on trade value, ranks them by how much they help you and how likely the other manager is to say yes, and hands you the text to send.
What it keeps
- Each scan you run, saved with your Sleeper user id and name. A scan is the league as Sleeper served it (teams, managers' names and avatars, rosters, records) and the trades it found, with the words written for them. That's what keeps a link you send working, and what lets a scan from the last half hour open again without running twice.
- The links you make, and which trade each one shows.
- Which trades get sent or posted, and whether the share prompt was used, saved with the scan, to see what gets used.
- The votes on a group page. A vote is a random id in a cookie, hashed with a secret before it's stored. No name goes with it.
- A salted hash of your IP address with each scan, link and vote, for the hourly limits. Never the address itself.
Your browser keeps the last username you typed, and a note that you closed the share prompt in a league. This tab keeps the scans you ran in it, and a note that you are already in the app, so the page picks up where you left off.
What it doesn't do
- No accounts, no login, no passwords.
- No ads or ad networks, no tracking scripts, and nothing goes to an analytics service. Nothing is sold.
- The only cookie is the one a vote sets.
- It can't change anything in Sleeper, and it never sends a message for you. Send hands you the text and the link, and you send them yourself.
Who else sees what
- Sleeper gets the username you type, to find your leagues. Your browser loads player photos and avatars from Sleeper too.
- Vercel runs the site and Supabase stores its data. Like any host, they see what passes through them.
- Some of the messages are drafted by an AI model that never sees a name, yours or anyone else's, and the message you read before you send it is the only thing it writes.
The data

The one number
The one number on a trade is its trade value: what you get minus what you give, by FantasyCalc's values, in thousands. A small minus is what you pay for a better fit. It's a fairness check, not a score: a trade is picked for what it does for both lineups, and anything too lopsided on trade value is left out.
